Anti Social Behaviour - Fly tipping |

Here’s a quick update on anti-social behaviour locally. We know it can be distressing, but we’re working closely with partners to make the area safer and support residents. On the evening of Saturday 10th October 2026 an alert and vigilant resident from Thamesmead called Police stating she had just witnessed a male dumping two sofas from the back of a van in Kellner Road West Thamesmead SE28. The resident had also had the foresight to take pictures of the male and van in question. Police attended and searched the local area and the male was located nearby where similar items found in the back of his van. This has resulted in the males personal details being obtained and passed to Greenwich council enforecemnt team for action to be taken against him. A great example of partnership working which is likely to lead to a prosecution in the near future. Across London we’ve put hundreds more officers on the frontlines of community crime-fighting teams, upping visible patrols in the right ‘hot spots’ so we can deter and catch criminals - including with new tech like live facial recognition cameras, drones and e-bikes.
Antisocial behaviour can come in many forms and can require support from more organisations than just the police. A full list of what we categorise as antisocial behaviour is available on our website.
